H-Bird’s Weekly Twitter-Spatter

It is possible I have outsourced most of my grumbling to Twitter.

• Garden Man (aka @knedd) has this weekend mowed the lawns, cut back the driveway hedges and pruned the shrubbery. Take that, sloth! #
• The big orange letters on Countdown Church Corner have been taken down for the logo change to green/grey. I feel a sense of bereavement. #
• Furthermore, the Woolworths across the road has also changed into Countdown. Surely there can't be two Countdowns, Church Corner? #
• In other neighbourhood news, the Christmas lights on the tree outside the Sockburn shops are now nightly aglow, a bit dingy but cheerful. #
• A Facebook friend has two new kittens named Tiki and Tane. Nice! #
• Finished major editing job. Not too shabby on a day when many disestablishments were proposed at work and solid food and I parted company. #
• How powerfully I envy a certain workplace its nap-room. If I'm thus impaired I have to stay home. #
• Happy birthday @wandaharland. I am late to the party but hope you are looking out across your little family empire with pleasure today. #
• Congratulations to all the turbinates. I realise that is not the correct collective noun for people featured in Turbine, but it is a thing. #
• Fern in high season sat briefly beside my head, and now I am encumbered with Eddie attempting to pitch woo to my hair. #onlytwiceayear #

• Because of reasons, there is less of me than in the spring. Today the phrase "clown pants" was used at work in relation to my clothes. #
• There is another Megan in my unit, with whose work mine is sometimes confused. Today I got two sets of thanks for organising the Xmas lunch #
• I am unexpectedly in the mood to go out, although probably not out-out. Have interrupted the nap of @knedd to announce our plans. #
• I got a letter today to Mrs @knedd. Unfortunately they didn't specify at whom in the organisation I can yell at for addressing me thus. #
• It's not the name that I mind so much as the Mrs. Despite the state-sanctioned relationship, that's not how I roll. #drwhinge #
