The eponymous one, with the vases. It was either that or ‘negotiating the boundaries’. Herakles writes home was tragically sold out. It was a tough decision anyhow.

It reminds me, in honour of the most salient current topic on the blog, that Mum told me this morning that she and Dad bought their first artwork on the way back from their honeymoon, with the money they had left. What a great way to spend that particular sum I thought.

Ahhh…. very nice. I love that image of Mt Taranaki – so reminiscent of many early European paintings of the mountain. The real thing is scarcely less spectacular.
I’m also feeling just a little envious at present. Perhaps we should be finding the money to buy one, or even some, of these pieces when we are home in NZ in December.
