It’s not all poetry and holiday photos here at harvestbirdland. Sometimes blogging involves doing something because another blogger asked you to.
The request came out from the other Megan, as part of her “Friday Frock” series, shortly after she set a course for these southern climes:
I am at my parents’ house, in the land that broadband forgot. As such, it is too frustrating to find and upload a picture of a nice frock.
So, this week it is your turn. If a dashing young(ish) man approached you on the street, and wanted to whisk you off for a romantic and unexpected date, featuring dinner and dancing and assorted fun times. What would you wear? … Extra points will be given for shoes and jewellery and great bags. …
Our consciences were tweaked ‘pon Twitter this morning:
@deleifd @harvestbird @prettyx3 @johubris @wandaharland Why have none of you done the Friday Frock challenge yet?
I vowed to fulfil my obligations. It was a curious experience, picking outfits from which I at first felt detached, and then becoming progressively more absorbed, around about the time I found those beautiful flat-heeled boots. My tastes are fairly conservative, but even so, I feel with these frockeries I would be well fitted for a whisking, by the señor or some other imaginary man or woman with a glint in their eye and time to kill.
