At the journal of [info]Teacake I spied an amusing collage-maker that turns your LiveJournal post content into images.  Since this site is also syndicated to my LiveJournal account, I was able to take it for a test toast.  These are the lengthy results, which would look far better if I could find the hook to show the entry without the column at right, but alas, I don’t know how to do this.  This entry also tests a handy plugin that enables me to link directly to LiveJournalists and LJ communities.  (I am more-or-less addicted to WordPress plugins, but that is another topic for another post.)

I’ve thought a bit about this and find it appealing, yet subversive. It reminds me of early, Ultravox, the song MiSex (that nz band took it as their name), or early Human League cut up electronica, Maybe Burrows or Laurie Anderson.
I don’t know, it’s possible that this is visual poetry?

There’s an interesting feature in that once it generates the collage, if you don’t like an image you can click on it up to ten times to generate a new one. The only one I changed related to suicide bombers–I didn’t want to see the severed head it originally offered me.

I also like the way it effectively puts your key words in the automated hands of another, then (presumably) leaves it to the fates and an image search.

Weird, I do that when i write poetry…blind folded on the ghost train with a scrabble bag of words and the occasional peak at the sideshow, while fate looks on giggling maniacally.
