Good to Go

My Diaryland and LiveJournal archives are now all loaded up at this location, which I declare to be my new home on the internet. The task at hand now is to write the delayed entry on the new puppies, which I was drafting for Diaryland when the ship went down.

Suffice to say I’m delighted with this new home, and I hope my modest contingent of readers will follow me here. Huzzah!

how did you move them over? I can’t figure it out, and would like to move all my stuff over to my wordpress blog too, since i haven’t used my diaryland in long time.

The old-fashioned way, I’m afraid: I moved each over as a new entry, setting the timestamp to the date/time of the original entry and then copying the text using the “view” mode–it copied links etc. over too. It was time-consuming–took me about two days.

LiveJournal is no problem however as it can import entries as an xml file.

It’s possible to export diaryland entries as a phtml file–is there any way of converting such a file to xml and tricking WordPress into thinking it’s in one of the importable formats?
